Special Assembly

(on the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act)

A Special Assembly on the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act was thoughtfully conducted by the students of Class XE with the objective of creating awareness about child safety, personal boundaries, respect, and the importance of speaking up against abuse.

The assembly commenced with the Morning Prayer, followed by the Thought of the Day and inspiring quotes highlighting the significance of child protection, dignity, and safe environments for every child. The students then administered a POCSO Awareness Pledge, reaffirming their commitment to respect personal boundaries, ensure safety, and encourage reporting of any form of abuse without fear.

An informative speech sensitized the audience about the key provisions of the POCSO Act, the importance of recognizing safe and unsafe touch, online safety, and the responsibility of every individual in protecting children’s rights. The student also presented a heartfelt poem that beautifully conveyed the message of courage, self-respect, and the power of raising one’s voice against injustice.

The highlight of the assembly was a powerful skit, which depicted real-life situations related to child safety and emphasized the importance of awareness, timely reporting, and creating a safe and supportive environment for every child. The performance left a lasting impact on the audience and reinforced the message that silence should never be an option.

On this occasion, the Senior Wing Incharge Mrs Archana Chaudhary officially announced the names of the POCSO Committee Members for the academic session 2026, reiterating the school’s unwavering commitment to ensuring a safe, secure, and child-friendly learning environment for all students.

The assembly concluded with a vote of thanks, inspiring everyone to work collectively towards building a culture of trust, respect, vigilance, and protection. The programme was highly informative, impactful, and appreciated by all present.
