Write a letter to the editor of ‘The Hindustan Times’ sharing your opinion about it. (100-150 words)

5.      Write a story in about 200 words on the basis of the hints provided:

I was walking alone in cool winter midnight ……. The streets were deserted. Suddenly ……

6.      A creative writing competition was organized by your school. The renowned writer Chetan Bhagat was the Chief Guest  of the programme. He told the students about his life and career. His speech was very motivating and encouraged the students to write creatively. You were also very much influenced by his speech. Now write a diary entry expressing your feelings in about 100-150 words.

BIOLOGY        SET A

1.      Do the given assignment based on chapter 6.

2.      Prepare an informative and beautiful poster on topic “Health and Hygiene” on an ivory sheet. Since it is a very vast topic, you can choose any subtopic  like personal hygiene, community hygiene, health and food, health and disease etc.

3.      Write a slogan to create awareness about “importance of hygiene in maintaining good health” on one fourth of an ivory sheet.

PHYSICS       SET A

1.      The voltage current (V-I) graph of a metallic conductor at two different temperature T1 and T2 is shown in figure. At which temperature is the resistance higher? And why? (ans:At T2)

 

 

                                              

2.      A current of 5A is flowing through a resistror of 15W. Calculate the potential difference between the ends of resistors. (ans: 75 V)

3.      A wire carries a current of 0.1A and has a resistance of 120 milliampere per metre. What is the potential difference across 1m of this wire? (ans: 12mV)

4.      An electric iron draws a current of 4A from 220V supply line. When voltage of supply is changed then draws a current of 2A. what is the new voltage supplied? (ans: 110V)

5.      A voltmeter reads 24V across a resistor and an ammeter reads a current of 3A through it. Calculate R. what will be the current through the resistor if the voltage changes to 12V? (ans: 8W, 1.5A)

6.      Describe an activity of finding relationship between the potential difference (V) across two ends of a conductor and the current(I) flowing through it by including in your answer:

a.      The diagram of the electric circuit

b.      A V-I graph

Also state the law that gives the relationship between V and I.

7.      In an experiment to study the relationship between the potential difference across a resistor and the current through it, a student recorded the following observation:
